The 2017 Buick Encore Has Made its Debut

March 13th, 2016 by

Known for its incredible fuel-efficiency, wide assortment of technology features, and affordable price point, the 2016 Buick Encore has been a hit across dealerships since the day it entered the market. Here at Westridge Buick GMC, we are huge fans of the latest Encore, and are thrilled to report that the details of the 2017 version of this impressive compact SUV have been revealed.

What Drivers Can Expect From the Forthcoming Encore

The 2017 Buick Encore made its formal debut at the New Your Auto Show, much to the excitement of Buick enthusiasts everywhere. As expected, it retained its shape, which resembles that of an oversized Pontiac Vibe, and sports an updated grille, wheels, and headlights. Remarkably, its new headlights are similar to the headlights found on the Audi models.

Additionally, the newest Encore features the same enhancements found on the Chevy Trax. These noteworthy enhancements include a new infotainment system and instrument panel, as well as updated materials and gauges. In addition to mimicking the Trax, the refreshed Encore also mirrors its European cousin, the Opel Mokka X, which was recently unveiled at the Geneva Auto Show.

After the reveal of the Opel Mokka X, Buick released a brief statement suggesting that the 2017 Encore would be designed very similarly. It led us to believe that the Encore would offer more luxurious appointments than ever before—which held true. The team at Westridge Buick GMC is also thrilled to see the new 1.5L, 4-cylinder engine — currently offered on the Sport Touring trim — is a standard feature on every Encore.
